US - same days in, same days out?

I (UK citizen) spent 82 days in the US from July 11 - October 1 on an ESTA. (The only trip I have done to the states since 2019 when I was there on a J1 visa). I’m planning to go back to spend two weeks there for the holidays. Flying December 22 would be exactly 82 days out of the country.

Is this enough time? I know there is no written rule, some people say double the time, some people say it’s the same amount and just depends on the officer you get on the day.

Guess I’m just looking for others that have done these kind of timelines to make me feel at ease.
