F1 visa questions (US) - can I apply to English language courses in the US after finishing the master program in the UK?

I just finished the master program at the UK university (in English).
If I apply for English language courses in the US (to receive an F1 visa), would it be weird for the embassy? Can it be the basis to refuse me a visa?
