My girlfriend just got an offer from a company that is willing to sponsor her for a J1 internship visa. The problem is that the company is a new US arm of an international company and because that and COVID they don't have a physical location. As a result everyone is working fully remotely.
It seems that at least a few J1 visa sponsors specifically require that there is some type of hybrid in person working conditions. It also seems that the US government hasn't issued a ruling on this line it has for F1 students and has left it up to the sponsors.
Does anyone know of any sponsors that are fine with 100% remote work?
