Hi there, sorry for the question, I know it is pretty clear on the website but I wanted to make sure: I am currently in my senior year of college in Austria, but I would like to do a research internship at an American University from January to May 2022. I am also applying for a Phd in the US starting Fall 2022. Since I am German, I should not be subject to the 2 year home country requirement. Is that correct? I am worried that because of the internship I might not be able to get an F visa later that year for my PhD. But since the program is not government funded, no medical training and Germany is not on the skill list, I think I should be fine.
