Spouse applying for Canadian PR, I am not, but as her spouse must fill out a lot of docs. Can my employment history affect her candidacy? Does the spouses’ application matter as much as the applicants?

I’m an American married to a lady who is trying to get her Canadian PR. I’m not getting the PR. But as her spouse, I have to fill out the application - w/o paying.

Her background is amazing - no crime, highly educated in an in-demand field, good employer, etc.

Mine, well I’ve been on unemployment a few times. I’m employed now, but I have a few gaps in my history.

Can this affect her app?
