I was one of those situations where I was separated before being officially separated on paper. If all goes well, I should have my divorce finalized in a couple months. We are both US citizens.
I fell deeply in love with a foreigner (Egyptian) during this time. We want to start the marriage process after my divorce is over. Our ultimate goal will be living in the US together.
Will this be an issue? We are a genuine couple. However, I’m worried that my recent divorce will raise a red flag.
