Hi, please help! I am a graduated F1 Visa holder (expires on 28 Oct) and I applied for a B2 Visa change of status. Other than the initial email to verify that I submitted my request, I have not heard back from USCIS yet. I only applied for an extension until 8 Jan 2022.
I've read that the process might take 4-6 months, what if I don't get approval by 8 Jan 2022 and need to leave? Information online has all said that if I leave while it is pending (after i-94 expires), I will be unlawful and any time after 28 Oct spent here will be accrued. Does anyone know what I can do?
