Hey! Quick Q - my partner and I are planning on getting married as soon as I'm allowed back in the US, optimistically autumn this year. I'm in the UK. We will then be filing to ge tme a greencard as a spouse of a US citizen.
There's a convention in February in the US that I'm looking to go to with her and my friends in the US and would be flying out to do so presumably while the paperwork is still underway.
Is this a good idea/bad idea, will it affect the paperwork, will I have any issues at border control providing I can prove I'll be returning home with return flight details? And will I still need an ESTA to travel while paperwork is underway?
***Obviously covid providing, but I'm hoping 🙏🙏🙏 that things will be clear enough for free travel by then
