Correcting FNU in US visa

Hi,

I am on an F1 visa and my Indian passport has my surname as blank. The given name has my full name under it. US visa considers it to be FNU <full name>. FNU is first name unknown. I also got a ssn with the same issue.

I am correcting my name in the passport to have proper first name and last name. How do I go about correcting this in my visa and SSN? Has anyone been through a similar experience?
