Does anyone know how long it takes to get a GC from a current EB2?

Assuming a PP I-140.

Tbh, I’m just 17 and I have been scouring the internet for information for the past couple days since my family is finally current/will be in a couple days.

I’m a bit scared to ask my parents, which I realize I shouldn’t be, but I really do not want to age out. I realize that it shouldn’t take more than 3 years, but can it take less than a year?

I would prefer that I go to freshman year in college as a permanent resident rather than being a dependent on a visa.

I know I might be asking too much, but can y’all help?
