K1 Visa processing Australia to USA

Hi Redditers,

I'm looking for people who went through the K1 visa process in Australia. My fiancee is in America and I'm in Australia. It took 8 months for our petition to be approved and we are currently awaiting information from the NVC on the next steps. We have been waiting for 3-4 weeks already.

I suppose my question is how long was the wait between USCIS approval and NVC contacting you? How long was the wait between NVC and the Sydney Consulate contacting you for an appointment date. Also, how long did you have to wait for an appointment?

I will be contacting the NVC if we don't hear back within the next 30 days I am currently on a visitors visa in Australia and am thus on a bit of a time crunch so I'm hoping we'll hear back soon or get a better idea about how long this will all take.
