I recently attended the interview for my green card. The agent said I need to have a sponsor and submit an I-864 regardless of my cash assets? It was my understanding that if my cash assets were more than 125% of the federal poverty guideline x5 I didn’t need an additional sponsor. I feel like they might have made a mistake but I just want to be sure.
