I-485 and I-130 Application Fee Money Order/Check Organization for Green Card Application

Hi r/immigration,

My wife and I are organizing our green card application packet, but we have a question about how and where to put the money orders or checks. We plan to make folders for each form, I-485 and I-130 being two of them.

We thought to get three money orders:
For I-485 folder ($1140.00 + $85.00):
Money Order of $1000
Money Order of $225

For I-130 folder:
Money Order of $535

If using checks, we thought to do something similar but just two checks: one for each form.

Questions:

1. Where should we put the money orders or checks?
2. Will it confuse USCIS if we put the money orders/checks in separate folders, two for the I-485 folder and one for the I-130 folder? (Are folders recommended at all?)
3. What are some recommended ways to organize the money orders or checks in the green card packet?
