How hard is it to get an employment-based green card?

Hello everyone!

My name is Frank, I am 28yo and I am from Germany. I want to move to the US and have looked up which options are out there. I am about to finish my master's in management degree right now and will graduate soon. Afterwards I will start working in consulting in Frankfurt.

Afaik there are three ways to get a green card:

  1. family-based
  2. employment-based
  3. DV lottery

Now, I am not eligilbe for a family-based visa, since I do not have any close relatives in the US. I participated in the DV lottery 2022 and the results came in a few days ago and unfortunately I did not get selected. I will apply for 2023 anyway, but now I am interested in how I could get an employment-based green card? I don't want to rely on the very slim chance to win this lottery within the next few years alone.

If I am nost mistaken, I should be eligible for EB-2, because of my master's right? I keep reading everywhere, that a US employer would need to prove that he did not find a US citizen for the job, in order to start the GC process for the foreign national.

My question is: Is it really like that or does it seem stricter than it actually is? Because I am pretty sure, there would be a US citizen for like 99.999% of jobs out there, so how could they ever prove they didn't find anyone?

Can anybody shed some light on this? If I apply for an American company, do they really need to bring all this proof or what is it like? Is it even worth applying for a job in the US? Or should I try find a job at a company in Germany that has offices in the US, to eventually transfer internally at some point?

All advice would be highly appreciated!

N-400 form {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} message

A few questions: I filed my N400 naturalization on March 23, 2020. Nearly one year later on Feb 2021 they sent me a notice that they'll reuse my biometrics from my green card application, but they won't refund the biometric fee! At the same time April 2021 showed up on my account as the expected completion date. Last week, the status was "17 days". Today the estimated time of completion has disappeared!!! Any idea what that means? More importantly - When I click on "View PDF" link under "N-400 Application for Naturalization", to see my actual N-400 form, I get " {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} " message! The form is also missing under "Documents -> Your Uploads" tab! So, it appears that my N400 form is missing! What does that all mean, considering that it's impossible to file without N400 form! Finally, under profile, My name is incorrectly sp...
