To obtain a L-1B visa as a British national, do I need to have been working in the SAME company that I will be transferring offices within for at least 1 year or can it be with another employer to meet the requirements?

I recently changed employers, and have been working in my current company for 5 months however prior to this I was working in the same field for a different company for 2 years. I am unsure whether the requirement to obtain a L-1B visa applies if I can show I have been working continuously for 2.5 years in the UK or does it have to specifically be the SAME company?
