I'm a US green card holder and my gf is planning to get me in the UK.

Hi there. I'm a green card holder and my girlfriend plans to bring me in the UK then planning to go back to the US (not sure when maybe around 3 yeara).

Will I lose my US permanent residency ? Or is it better if I'm a us citizen already(i can apply for US citizen now)? Thank you!
