Since coming to Amsterdam 2 months ago (originally to visit family) from NZ, I’ve (22f) fallen in love with the culture and city and decided to extend my stay with a working holiday visa for a year.
I applied about 2 weeks ago and am going for my biometric appointment this thursday. However, the visa-free permit term is ending soon (10th of September) and I am worried that I will get in trouble because the decision period for a visa application is 90 days, meaning the latest I will hear from them is early October.
Is there a certain sticker or procedure that I will/can get maybe put on my passport etc while waiting for the decision that means I can still stay in the country? Unsure about all of this, as this is the first time I’ve applied for a visa since living back in my home country. I know I should’ve applied for it sooner, but when I came I could not have predicted how much I loved it here and therefore decided to extend my stay by applying for the visa.
TLDR; unsure about the procedure for a working holiday visa in Netherlands and whether I will get kicked out.
