Hi there, I need advice. I'm an American citizen and my husband is a Mexican citizen with a tourist visa. We need to go see my family in CA for personal reasons and I know this doesn't fall into the "essential" travel restrictions, even though it's essential for us. He can fly into the states as a last resort, but has anyone recently crossed the San Diego border by land? If so, how strict are they with Mexicans with visas? Is it possible for him to cross with a doctor's note?
