Hi,
I'm currently a 21 year old guy from the Czech Republic. With some luck, I'll finish my bachelor's degree in economics next year, although I'd probably like to work in either filmmaking or video editing.
I have nothing against my country, but I've always found english to be much more exciting language than czech, so ever since I was a child I had this spark of an idea in my head that one day I would move to the UK.
I have no connections there, no particular reason, just the idea of living in a more exciting country and speaking the language I love.
So, a few weeks back my question would be if my reason for moving to the UK is as dumb as it sounds or if I'm not totally alone - And if not, how to make it happen now when it's clearly harder than ever due to Brexit and Covid.
But here's the thing, I'm something of a "dreamer". Some would probably rather use the term "soft-hearted dumbass". A few days back I watched this swedish TV show on Netflix called Young Royals and I fell in love with it so much, that I started daydreaming about getting a job and moving there one day. I actually spent like 5 hours already learning swedish online (reminder that it's been like 4 days since I watched the show).
And here I am, again, with no real reason to move to Sweden other than my passion for the country and language that I found literally less than a week ago in a TV show.
So I would like to ask you, good people, if I am indeed as stupid as I am probably naive - And if not, what are some of the main differences between these three countries, how hard would it be to move there, which one would you prefer, what should my first steps be, if I should focus on improving my english or swedish if I were to choose Sweden, etc.
Thanks :)
