I'm a Swedish citizen and I'm traveling from Sweden to Kharkiv, via Berlin in October (~30 days as a tourist). Since it's self-transfer I will have to leave the departure area and check in again. On the Berlin airport homepage it says:
"Please note that there are two different, separate non-Schengen areas at BER Airport. This means that if you are transferring at Berlin Brandenburg Airport and you are arriving from or departing to a non-Schengen destination with Ryanair or Wizz Air, you will need a border crossing document (e.g. visa) for Germany in order to continue your journey to your final destination. This applies when travelling with and without checked baggage."
I normally don't need a visa to enter Ukraine as a tourist. What is this border crossing document they are talking about and how can I get it?
