Hi everyone, I couldn't find this particular questions asked, but if it as been sorry for repeating it. I'm a Canadian citizen and my finacé is American citizen and we're just starting our visa process for me to move to the US. We're looking into K1 visa vs spousal visa.
One thing that's come up is getting an EAD for myself after I arrive, if all goes well with the K1 visa. My Canadian company has indicated they'd be agreeable if I work remotely when I'm in the US. However, everywhere I've seen there's mixed messages about being able to work for a company remotely outside of the US while waiting for an EAD. We are looking into speaking with an immigration lawyer soon before we go ahead first into the process.
Does any one have any experience in regards to this particular scenerio (re: remote work)? Thank you for the info.
