Please help us raise awareness for Sumit, who has been a target of racist policing and is today, behind bars. Sumit has been arrested for Cyber Stalking where the fake email ids specifically identified Sumit as the sender. Few emails were sent while Sumit was in the presence of SPD or in jail. Despite it, Sumit was arrested on the complaint of a white woman. Today, the date of trial is fixed for January, 2022 after being postponed at the request of the Government; ensuring Sumit languishes in prison till then. Sumit will remain behind bars for more than 1 year without trial. The petition has been started by Sumit’s father in India to help bring Sumit’s plight to the attention of the public and Mr.Inslee, Governor of Washington. It will help secure justice and his release. Please sign the petition.
