I have been waiting for my I-140 approval (EB3) for slightly over a year and finally decided to bite the bullet and apply for premium processing. I did this at the beginning of the month and just received an I-797C with a received date of 8/6/2021 and noticed date of 8/18/2021.
On 8/18/2021 my case status was updated on the USCIS website and says:
On August 18, 2021, we received your Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, Receipt Number _____________, and sent you a receipt notice or acceptance notice. The notice describes how we will process your case.
At this point, 8/25/2021, I still haven't received an I-140 approval or RFE. So I'm wondering, when do the 15 calendar days for USCIS to take action start (receipt or notice date)? Is there anything else I can now or just wait?
On a second note, my I797C states that the amount received was 3,200.00 USD, which is weird as I paid the 2,500.00 USD fee only (through the lawyer that works with my prospective employer). Any ideas why this could be?
