Advice on Green card conditional status removal

Hi! I have a 2 years green card from marriage. We hired a lawyer to file all of paperwork for us, i came as a tourist and we got married like 3 months later here in the US. All went through fine for my green card but it expires in January 2022, from what I read online we are supposed to request for the conditional 2 years status to be removed 3 months before my green card expires, i was wondering if anyone else has gone through that process and your recommendations (I'm not sure if it's worth getting an attorney again to file) and also to know if there have been any delays with all of the stuff going on in the world and country currently. All responses appreciated, will add any information if necessary
