I am in the process of moving jobs and my new company filed for my H1B transfer last week. I got an email that USCIS has approved my transfer and that the "Starting Validity Date" is 08/30/2021.
Does that date mean that I have to stop working for my current company on that date, or that is the earliest date the transfer becomes valid? Asking this so that I can time my resignation accordingly. If I decide to resign once I get a physical copy of my approval notice then I would not be able to complete two weeks by the 30th. If I can continue working for my current company even after that starting validity date then resigning once my approval notice is in my hand, makes things a lot easier.
