I’m puzzled. So I and my husband filed 130 and 485 simultaneously on March 2019. We are not together anymore and I’m preparing to file VAWA. On USCIS website in FAQ they say I can substitute to keep the priority day which is amazing bc it would save me like 2 years. My question is: how to do that? I mean VAWA is handled by ONLY Vermont office. How Dallas will know about my VAWA case and let the local immigration officer know that in order to interview me for VAWA instead of AOS based on marriage. Should I file VAWA with Vermont and then contact them? Or should I file 2 originals of VAWA to both Vermont and Dallas? This is so confusing. Tl:DR; I don’t know how to substitute 130 for 360.
