Should I be worried about applying for an immigrant visa?

Hi - my former employer filed and received approval for an I-140 (EB3 visa), but I had left the company. My priority date has become current now and the employer reached out to me and asked if I want to continue the immigration paperwork and if I'd like to come back and work with them once I have legal status again. I have been living abroad for the past 5 years.

Are there any issues with going through consular processing for an EB3 visa application from a former employer seeking to re-hire?
