Hi,
So from Toronto here and got a job in the US as a Consultant. The company does not have any involvement in the TN visa process and I'm hesitant to pester too much for fear of losing the job.
For those of you that have applied for management consultant TN visa designation, can someone please describe the complete do-it-yourself approach for TN visa for consulting. Lawyers are expensive but if I must use a lawyer, please leave recommendation for a good one in the Toronto area and approx cost. Much appreciated!
So far my personal understanding is prepare TN file with following:
- Official Job Offer
- Degree Certificate
- Transcript
- Resume
- Job Description (does this need to be on official letterhead?)
- TN Letter (most likely the part that needs a lawyer but if you have a template - please share).
Interview/Documents:
- Include words such as: advising
- Words to avoid: implementing, sales & marketing (tricky), launching ??
