Should I renew B1/B2 visa for my wife if her immigrant visa has been accepted?

We live in the US/Mexico border and her B1/B2 tourist visa will expire in October. She has been approved for her immigrant visa by the USCIS and the NVC since July 7 and we are now just waiting for her interview in the US Consulate in Mexico, but with Covid we don't know how much more will it take.

Should we renew her tourist visa while she waits or would that affect her situation? Since we live in the border and our son and I are US citizens life and travel between both cities is necessary and part of daily life and having her visa expired will be chaotic for us.

N-400 form {"data":null,"error":{"developerMessage":null,"userMessage":null}} message

A few questions: I filed my N400 naturalization on March 23, 2020. Nearly one year later on Feb 2021 they sent me a notice that they'll reuse my biometrics from my green card application, but they won't refund the biometric fee! At the same time April 2021 showed up on my account as the expected completion date. Last week, the status was "17 days". Today the estimated time of completion has disappeared!!!
