Hello, all. I hope this is the right place for this kind of question.
I'm an American citizen currently living in America. My wife is Ukrainian, not a US citizen. We just got married with her on a K-1 visa, which expires soon. We are in the process of filing forms I-131, I-485, I-765, and I-864. They should be completed in the next day or two and sent in.
Today she received news that her dad is seriously ill and will probably die in the next week or so. Obviously, she wants to return home to see him before that happens.
What will happen with her visa stuff if she leaves the US? How long will it be before she can come back to the US? I know I-131 covers this situation, but how long can we expect that to take? Is there any way to expedite the process? Any information is appreciated.
