I am an international student working on F1 OPT. I got picked in the H1B lottery held in Mar and my current employer has filed a petition in June. However, I received another offer today and plan to take up that offer. I assume that my current employer will withdraw the petition once I resign but I wanted to know confirm if this will have any effect on my current F1 visa status? Also will this affect my lottery selection or petition approval chances in future?
