My partner and I are both Canadians but he is in the US on a TN. I will be visiting him in the coming weeks after a year apart. The plan is to get married while I am down there before flying home to wait for the TD paperwork to go through. I know Canadians get a B2 when they enter the states and apparently it is possible to get married on a B2 although most websites specify that it is to a US citizen. I am slightly worried that the border will deny my entry based on the thought that will not be returning to Canada after the marriage.
I have a return flight booked, travel insurance for the time I am away, money in the bank, my whole family is in Canada etc. Is there anything else I can bring in terms of documentation that proves I will be returning at the end of my trip. I am a student so I could bring tuition receipts or something else to that effect, but is there anything else that will help?
