Hi to the community, I have a problem/question, and would really appreciate some help with it.
My sister used to fly in from Poland in the early 2000's to visit our mom. One time in 2004 she was stopped at the airport in Chicago. She said that she was told to admit that she's been coming to the US to work and not just to see our mom (she really has not worked in United States, at all). They stopped her right before reuniting with our mom and threatened to deport our mom as well, so my sister admitted that she did come to work to avoid any problems for our mom. I am working on flying her over in the next few months (or when covid restrictions allow it) since they haven't seen each other in over 17 years but we are concerned that she might get turned around again at the airport here because she admitted to coming here for work back then. Should that be an issue or is she fine because it has been 17 years?
I know that there are bans for deported people for 5, 10, 20 years. Would this qualify under any of these?
Please and a huge thank you in advance to everyone who reads and replies to this.
