Almost two years waiting, 6 months for a visa interview, we’ve been “documentarily complete” for that 6 month period.
My son has autism so we sought out an Au Pair almost 5 years ago now for some assistance with him. We ended up hosting a Colombian Au Pair for 3 years that essentially became part of our family. She passed the age limit and headed back right before they closed the borders in Colombia when COVID was picking up, but we had worked with a lawyer prior to her leaving to get her a work visa to stay permanently.
We’ve checked every box, our lawyer sent her an incredible interview binder, we waited for the Consulate to resume activity, and still al we get is the same stale email from Immigration to just keep waiting.
Anyone else here in this boat? Particularly in Colombia? Any ideas on how to expedite the process? (She’s also vaccinated as well).
