I was on a student visa in new Zealand and i completed my course did not apply for post study work. i had a drug induced psychotic break and was detained by cops for 24 hours for assessing because i was behaving irrationally in public. Therefore, i was put under mental health act and spend 40 days in the psych ward. My father came to visit me to nz and once i got released from the hospital i did not botherd to apply for any furthure visa and returned back home. So my question is i am wanting to apply for furthure studies in canada. Also i was not deported nor any charges were posed on me. I am back to normal after the event and off medication from a long time and high functioning. Will this event be having impact on my processing of canadian student visa? Cheers
