Hi, I am in the process of obtaining the GC through my employer. Currently PERM has been filled and waiting. The problem is that the company will be acquired, and I am afraid the new company might not continue the process or even let me go.
My concerns are:
If PERM is approved with the name of the current company, and I need to continue the process with the new company (the acquirer), is that going to cause any issues?
How fast can I apply for I140 after PERM is approved? Is there anything I can prepare while waiting now, just so I can shorten the wait?
At which point in the process can I change employers?
