Moving back to the US with my partner (from Canada)

Hi there,

I recently obtained PR in Canada, but also have been thinking back of moving back to the US where I'm from (NY) My partner is a Canadian citizen and we planned on getting married this year and were trying to see if/how feasible it is to immigrate to America so they can live/work immediately.

We both work in tech so we're not too worried about finding a job, more about finding the best way for them to immigrate.

Is it better to get married in Canada and then immigrate, or would the easiest way for them to find a job that would sponsor them? (But I guess that's its own rabbit hole of visas/company luck)

We also thought of waiting until I get dual citizenship as a Canadian in a few years, but wasn't sure if that's worth it if we'd like to try living in NY/NYC.

Any advice? I realize this is loosely worded/planned, it's just something that's come up in conversations a couple times, and wanted to see the logistics of it before getting too involved.

Thanks in advance!
