I am a 20 year old Mexican American with American citizenship living in California. As my 21 birthday approaches,my mom is near to apply for a green card. Currently we are in financial crisis and need to move out of our current rental home to another more in a comfortable budget range. The first link below directs you to a website that helps find adorable housing in nearby areas. However in the second link below it talks about public charge and states that my mother were to gain benefits from the government she will likely be denied from obtaining a green card. Is this information true? Or can we obtain low financial housing with no green card application issues? Thank you any information towards my issue is helpful.
