Schengen visa

Hi,

I'm a student going to study in Lithuania.

I have received my schengen visa D today. I have changed my travel plans intending to travel earlier than my "Valid from" date. Is that possible? What if I went earlier? Would they not let me in?

I thought this visa D would be valid from its issued date (like the UK) but I was surprised when I saw it coming today saying "Valid From".

Any solutions to travel earlier?

Thank you.
