Hello! I am asking this on behalf of an undocumented Colombian student wanting to attend a local community college (in the USA) this fall.
In an email, the community college is asking his status & visa type & how he came into the country & if he applied for data & all those types of questions. The thing is, he came into the country on some kind of tourist visa and it expired a year ago. He came here to work hard and provide his family back home with money & a better life. He thinks that if he tells him his situation, he won’t be allowed to be a student. He thinks it would be better to say he came into the country walking and doesn’t have a visa. Any advice? Can the college deny him for being undocumented?
Sorry I don’t know a lot about this, just looking for someone with a similar experience.
