Like honestly, how many job openings that pay a wage commensurate with the work are there which no US citizen or green card wants?
I'm going through the EB2 process right now with my employer. My company has never posted a job opening without getting flooded with applicants. The way our lawyers are going about it is by recruiting via ads aired on the obscure radio stations and demanding that all resumes and work samples be physically mailed to our office.
Then they're quoting us an EAD approval of 18 months out from the start of this whole process.
There is litterally no scenario whereby a company has had a job opening, is willing to pay a fair wage, legitimately tried to recruit for that job, and after failing at doing so applied for a Labor Certificate and was willing to wait 1.5 years for that person to start.
This is bonkers beyond belief.
