I am an american citizen who traveled to the UK to do non paid volunteer work and to see my family. However I was unaware that I required a visa to enter the UK on those grounds. My host never notified me of any of these requirements and they basically abandoned me at the border force. I am now facing deportation in four days. I will sent back to new york which was a connection city and not my home town. I am unsure of how my living situation will turn out but I ideally would like to stay in the UK for longer so that I can better plan out how I will get back home safely.
Is it possible for me to appeal this
