I'm a Canadian Citizen, was in the US for 3 weeks for work.
If I refuse the hotel quarantine, is it likely that the full amount of the fine would be enforced or is it up to the discretion of the border agent. Any insight to what a reduced fine might look like?
I'm double vaxxed and I'm on an 0-1 work visa. Could get a letter from my employer if that might make a difference? Also travelling with my partner who was just here visiting for a week.
Trying to avoid the Buffalo land border loophole. Although that may be the best option if fines are still being fully enforced with air travel.
Any insight would be much appreciated! Thanks
