How bad is my situation?

Hi r/immigration,

I tutored remotely on a platform while I was on an exchange visitor (short term) visa to maintain my status on the platform that I have been using for years. I didn't receive any money in the US. I discovered later that it's considered unauthorized self employment.

I'm applying for a spouse visa. What are my chances?

And how do I answer questions like: have you violated any previous US visa? Have you worked in the US without authorization?
