What's the best answer to "Are you legally authorized to work in the United States" as a Canadian citizen?
Hi All!
I am filling a job application for a position in the U.S . I am aware that since I am not a US citizen I am not fully authorized to work in the US. And I usually select NO for this statement "Are you eligible to work in the US?" and 99% of the time my application get rejected. However, this time I came across a little bit different statement which Im not sure how to answer, but I believe its a No.
In compliance with federal law, all individuals hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire. Are you legally authorized to work in the United States?
I believe I should start giving up on applying for jobs within the State.
