Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but please let me know if I should ask this somewhere else.
I am an American citizen by birth (parents are not) but have not lived in the US for the past 17 years (I'm 21 now). I am also Canadian and have been living in Ontario for the past 3 years.
I am planning on moving to the US for grad school but I was wondering if I will lose my Ontario residency. Ideally, I just want to stay in the US during my academic semesters (probably 8-9 months a year) and then stay in Canada for the rest of the time as a resident.
Is this possible or will I no longer be considered an Ontario resident if I study in the US?
