Just like my title, I really don't like my job and not satisfied with my salary.
I feel grateful to them for sponsoring my green card pretty soon after working for them for a year. But, during the pandemic, other co worker got laid off so since then, I've been doing more work including the work I haven't done before. And my work has been shifted to almost different job than I have been doing earlier and I'm not passionate about my work anymore. I haven't filed I-140 yet and it makes me depressed that I might have to tied to them for another year or two year and not doing what I really want in my prime time.
Is it possible to change job while waiting for the green card? And is it okay to leave the job after getting the green card? At this point, I'm not even sure if getting a green card would be worth it to giving up my time and energy.
Is there anyone who has felt like I did (feel trapped from work but has no choice because they sponsor your visa)? I appreciate your advice.
