Can I apply for a B1/B2 Visa while having an F-1 Visa?

I had planned a pleasure trip with my girlfriend to the US but I realized I can’t enter the US on my F-1 visa until 30 days prior of the stary of my classed which is on late June. So I wanted to apply for a tourist visa since I can renew it without and interview. Could that possibly affect my F-1 status?
