I've a job in the US, but spent the last half year in a Schengen country working remotely. Now I'm starting to plan my return.
As I'm a L1 visa holder, I believe that the covid travel ban exceptions don't apply to me, which would mean that I cannot enter the US without leaving the Schengen area for 14 days before attempting to enter the US.
I've been holding off for a few months now hoping that the travel ban gets either lifted or adjusted so I can return, but with the current development I would more expect this to continue for longer.
Could anyone confirm this is indeed case? Is there a specific route or "quarantine country" people have been using to bridge the 14 day window?
Edit: Maybe worth mentioning: My kids are US citizens, but they would stay here in the Schengen area and not travel with me. I assume then the exception for parents of US citizens don't apply either.
Thanks!
