K1 Adjustment of Status: what can the beneficiary do?

Hello,

I would like some clarification on what the beneficiary can and cannot do while waiting for the adjustment of status. It’s clear they cannot legally work in the US nor collect income from abroad.

I’m wondering if they can serve in AmeriCorps or study at a community college or university during this period ?
